One of my favorite things about pottery is sharing the magic behind the process. Most people are surprised to learn that a handmade piece doesn't go straight from clay to cup. Before it reaches your hands, it spends weeks being shaped, dried, fired, glazed, and transformed.

Along the way, there are triumphs, surprises, and the occasional lesson in humility. Clay has a personality all its own, and every piece follows a slightly different path.
