Hi, I’m Sarah, the maker behind Magic & Mud.

I believe pottery lives somewhere between art and function, a place where everyday objects can still feel a little magical. As a growing potter, I’m constantly exploring new techniques, refining my skills, and discovering my own artistic voice. Every piece is part of that journey, carrying the care, creativity, and curiosity that inspire me to keep learning, creating, and finding new ways to bring a little wonder into the everyday.

Sustainability is an important part of my process. Whenever possible, I reclaim clay through a multi-step process that recycles scraps, trimming and unwanted pieces back into workable clay. What might otherwise become waste is collected, dried, rehydrated, mixed, wedged, and prepared for a new life on the wheel or worktable. I carry that same mindset into shipping, so don’t be surprised if your handmade pottery arrives in a box that’s lived a previous life. Around here, I believe good materials deserve a second chance and a little extra magic.
